Gokyo Lake Trek

The eminence of this trek is that it gives you the feeling of pride to step on Gokyo Peak and offer you to experience and enjoy many amazing sceneries with clear views of Everest (8848m), Makalu, Cho Oyo (8153m) and Lhotse (8511m) etc. It also has an optional route through Renjo Pass of less traffic.

This short route to Renjo-La via Gokyo Ri enables trekkers with limited time to discover the most famous beautiful scenarios of Nepal. It is set amongst breath-taking high mountain scenery on the route leading through Khumbu Region. The trail to Gokyo is a gradual ascent upward in the valley passing through patches of birch and rhododendron forest where elusive musk deer can be seen occasionally. Passing by the small yak-grazing settlements, we reach Gokyo lakes.

Type of Trek	Teahouse trek while camping is arranged on request. (Our priority of this trek is to provide opportunity for local run lodges (teahouse) to generate income for their survival therefore, we request you to choose tea house trek)
Required fitness	This trip involves strenuous level trails that requires 5-7 hours walking uphill and downhill frequently to glacier lake. You need to be physically fit and willing to walk at high Himalaya. Overweight or people with cardiac and pulmonary complaints may seek easier options from our office in Kathmandu.

Day 01 :	Arrival in Kathmandu airport and transfer to Hotel
Day 02 :	Morning flight Kathmandu to Lukla trek to Phakding (2610 m.)
Day 03 :	Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3446 m.)
Day 04 :	Acclimatization day-can explorer Khumjung village
Day 05 :	Trek from Namche Bazaar to Dole (4200 m.)
Day 06 :	Trek from Dole to Machchhermo (4470 m.)
Day 07 :	Trek from Machchhermo to Gokyo (4790 m.)
Day 08 :	Excursion around Gokyo Lake climbs Gokyo-Ri (5357 m.)
Day 09 :	Trek back from Gokyo to Dole
Day 10 :	Trek from Dole to Namche Bazaar
Day 11 :	Trek back from Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Day 12 :	Morning flight to Kathmandu- Leisure time
Day 13 :	Free day-can arrange Kathmandu sightseeing
Day 14 :	Transfer to airport to fly your onward destination
