There are two kinds of permits for traveling in Tibet:
the entry permit (TTB permit) and the Alien's travel
permit (PSB permit). You can get these easily from
TREKKING MART.
Tibet Entry Permit-TTB
When travellers fly to Lhasa from any cities they will
need to show this permit during the check in at the
airport. However you need to show this permit when you
buy a flight tickets to Lhasa. This permits also applied
for overland travelers this will be arranged by
TREKKING MART organizing the trip.
Alien's Travel Permit-PSB
Travelers need an Alien's travel permit issued by PSB of
Tibet to travel restricted areas of Tibet. It is called
"Alien's Travel Permit" or "PSB permit".

Important Issues about Tibet Travel Permit
1. All kinds of people can get Tibet permit through
TREKKING MART except diplomats, journalists, and
government officials who should travel to Tibet under
the arrangement by the Foreign Affairs Office of Tibet
Government.
VISA
For obtaining the Tibet Visa in Kathmandu we need a
minimum of 3 clear working days. As such clients will
have to reach Kathmandu accordingly. For your
information, the Chinese Embassy is open on every
Mondays, Wednesday & Friday for one hour only. Tibet
Visa Fee: US$ 45 all nationalities accept US
nationality, for US Passport holder cost US$ 98.
