Overview
Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Lhasa is one of the most spiritually uplifting pilgrimages in the Himalayas. This incredible place is sacred to four major world religions (Hindu, Buddhism, Jain and Bön). Mt. Kailash is also the source of four major world rivers that take its waters and distribute over the regions to the south. Devotees find themselves performing puja while securing stronger karma for the next life. Trekking Mart is your guide for spiritual pilgrimages to the holy Himalayas and the abodes of the gods.
It starts from Kathmandu on a short flight to the fabled city of Lhasa, the ancient capital of Tibet. From the Tibetan capital, we take luxury bus to the starting point of the sacred journey around M Mount Kailash and the holy waters of Lake Mansarovar.
It is said that Lord Shiva lives there and Mount Kailash is revered by Hindu Buddhist Jain, as well as the very ancient Bön religion of the Himalayas. It is the spiritual center for devotees of all backgrounds, as well as a place to have an adventurous pilgrimage in one of the most remote and unspoiled areas on earth. The route through Lhasa presents pilgrims with iconic Potala Palace, sacred Jokhang Temple, and ancient monasteries. It travels across the vast open Tibetan plateau where the snow-capped Himalayas are replaced by Tibet's wide cobalt blue skies and turquoise lakes.
Trekking Mart has designed a safe, well-tempered, and extremely valuable Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Lhasa for the pilgrims. Trekking Mart has adjusted each step of the trip starting from acclimatization stops to the rest days, so that the pilgrims can be physically and spiritually at their best to tackle high altitude challenges, as well as ensuring safety which is the main concern throughout any Trekking Mart experience. Our tour will bring you from Kathmandu through Lhasa, then Saga and the open Tibetan plateau before reaching the holy Lake Mansarovar and the town of Darchen, the entry point of the Kailash parikrama. Following that, pilgrims perform the sacred 3-day kora around Mount Kailash, which involves crossing the high Dolma La Pass at 5630m strolling by Shiva Tsal and Gauri Kund, and experiencing the mountain from all the different perspectives it reveals. Don't miss such a fantastic experience, with Trekking Mart, the chance to make memories of a lifetime.
