Overview
Gosainkunda Lakes Trekking takes you to one of the most sacred places in Nepal; sacred to Hindu people around the world. These high mountain lakes (elev. 4,380). Gosainkunda is the sacred spot of all Hindu people. The Gosainkunda is really a collection of high mountain holy lakes with its cobalt blue waters. It is composed of a significant number of holy lakes that shimmer brilliantly in the Himalayan sun. It is believed by the Hindus that the sacred water of the lakes is capable of cleansing one's sins. Every year thousands of people hike to this glacial lake to satisfy at one time both their cultural and natural desire.

Itinerary
When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, your Trekking Mart representative will meet you at the arrival gate with a signboard for Trekking Mart Travel and Adventure and arrange for you to be taken to your hotel. The rest of the day can be spent at leisure. In the evening, we will have a dinner in a traditional Nepali restaurant where we can eat authentic Nepali cuisine and have a short cultural program and presentation as well.
After breakfast today, we will start our drive early from Kathmandu to the beautiful village of Dhunche. We follow much or the way along the mighty Trishuli River as it rushes from its sources in the Gosainkunda as well as in Tibet. It is said that Lord Shiva put down his trident and its three prongs created the lakes and river sources. Enjoy dense forest and terraced fields interspersed with scenic views that you can enjoy during this relaxing drive. Dhunche is the district headquarters of Rasuwa District, and it also has the headquarters of "Langtang National Park." We will visit the village and meet the local residents. We can enjoy a wonderful night with the village people and stay overnight at Dhunche.

Today, we start our first day of trekking from Dhunche. From Dhunche, we will walk along a pleasant trail, before climbing steeply on a nature path to reach Deurali village. We will find more ascend on steep trails through the rhododendron and oak forest to arrive at Sing Gompa, passing through Sing Dimsa along the way. Sing Gompa has a very famous monastery, so the place has great religious fame in the whole region. The place also offers the gigantic view of the Langtang Himalayan range. We will stay overnight at Sing Gompa.

The morning begins with a hearty mountain breakfast. We walked to reach Cholangpati (3,654m) on a gradual upward trail. Chandanbari is famous for its cheese factory that creates employment for the people of these mountains. We trek to Laurebina (3,910 m). The trail now becomes steeper for about two hours to reach Gosainkunda (4,380m). Gosainkunda is famous for housing numerous holy lakes such as Saraswati Kunda and Bhairab Kunda. The view of the Langtang Lirung, Langtang Ri, Manaslu, and Ganesh Himal ranges is stunning from this place. One look and you will understand why the ancient people considered this place so sacred. It is obviously that only the gods could have designed such incredible beauty. Overnight at Gosainkunda.

Early morning our journey passes alongside some glacial lakes before reaching the Lauribina pass (4,610m). It is the highest point of our entire trek and is full of panoramic Mountain Views. Further our trail descends gradually down towards the village of Ghopte. We journey through a small hamlet of Phedi to reach Ghopte where we will spend the night.

Morning breakfast is followed by crossing a lower pass of Thadepati (3,690m). In the downhill trail from here as we encounter beautiful views of surrounding landscape and snow-capped mountain peaks like Langtang Lirung, Langtang Ri and Ganesh Himal. In the distance is Mt. Manaslu, the 8th highest mountain in the world to the west. Among the many scattered human settlements, Mangengoth is a big one. Through the lush green forest, we reach to the village of Kutumsang for overnight stop today.

We continue our downhill descent towards the Chisapani through the lush green forest of oak and rhododendron. The air in these lush forests smell heavenly! Pass the villages of Gul Bhanjyang, Thontundanda, and Chipling. Chisapani is an amazing hill station popularly known for spectacular sunrise views and fresh natural habitats. Overnight at Chisapani.

After breakfast, we will start our trek to Sundarijal on our final day of trekking. As we descend through the oak and rhododendron forest within Shivapuri-Nagarjun National Park, we arrive at Borlang Bhanjyang. Subsequently, we trek down to Mulkharka, where we are greeted by a stunning view of the Kathmandu Valley spread below us. Following this trek, we continue our descent through the forest until we reach Sundarijal. Our vehicle will be waiting for us to take us to Kathmandu. When we reach Kathmandu, you will be taken to the hotel and have some leisure time.

Our representative of Trekking Mart will pick you up from the hotel. At about 3 hours prior to your flight time, we transfer you to the airport to fly to your onward destination. Trekking Mart family wishes you the best time ahead.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended, especially for trekking and climbing activities. Your insurance should cover emergency medical treatment and evacuation. Although it is possible to travel without insurance, Trekking Mart requires a written declaration stating that you accept full responsibility if you choose not to have coverage.
The climate of Nepal is largely influenced by the monsoon season, resulting in distinct travel periods throughout the year:
Dry Season: October to May
Monsoon Season: June to September
The best times to visit are October–November and March–May, when Himalayan views are at their clearest and the landscapes are especially vibrant. From February to May, warmer temperatures make high-altitude trekking more comfortable and enjoyable.
Trekking in Nepal requires a good level of physical fitness, as it involves long walking hours on uneven, and often steep, terrain.
To prepare for your trek, the following are recommended:
Regular physical exercise (walking, hiking, cardio training)
Participation in sports or endurance activities
Yoga or flexibility training
It is also advisable to consult your physician for a full medical check-up prior to travel to ensure you are fit for trekking.
No vaccinations are mandatory for entry into Nepal. However, travelers may consider the following vaccinations based on personal health needs, travel plans, and medical advice:

All Trekking Mart trek leaders are trained in first aid and carry essential medical equipment. However, clients are strongly advised to bring a personal first-aid kit to handle minor health issues during the trek.
