Trekking
-journey on foot :
The best way to experience Nepal’s invincible
combination of natural beauty and cultural riches is to
walk through them and feel the stirring beauty of
Himalayas, variety of cultures, deepest river gorges on
whole earth, flora and faunas, numerous species of
butterflies and animals etc. Trekkers walk along the
green filled uphill and downhill deep forests with fore
scenic view of various seasonal flowers blossoming,
domestic and wild animals. You also pass through to
observe picturesque villages inhabited by diverse ethnic
groups.
Scenery: Eight out of fourteen
highest mountains in the world are in the boundaries of
Nepal and if you want to see these up close, you must
walk! While trekking you may see far more than the
mountains. You can walk from the tropical lowlands to
alpine meadows and glacial moraines and in the spring
season, Nepal's brilliant rhododendrons are in bloom
with colorful rare species of birds.
Diversity: The countryside of Nepal is being
continually populated. The majority of Nepal's
populations live, not in the cities, but in tiny remote
villages. Even in the high mountains, you can find small
settlements in stone houses and yak pastures spots can
be seen at every possible flat space.
Cultural: Almost every trekker in Nepal is
attracted and impressed with the friendly attitude of
the people they meet alongside the local trails .The
hilly region people are particularly known for their
traditional hospitality and fascinating culture, which
makes trek in Nepal, an extraordinary mountain holiday
unlike any other part of the world.
Teahouse Treks:
In these trekking regions your accommodation and food
are arranged by our guides in Local hotels and guest
house known as “Tea Houses”. Here they present you with
traditional and delicious foods by offering variety of
potato, rice and noodle dishes with soup and seasonal
vegetables at day time. Variety of cereals, bread and
egg dishes are generally available for breakfast. Snacks
are also available such as basic biscuits, chocolate and
soft drinks and in some areas you may find fresh fruits
in season.
Teahouse treks are the most popular mode of trekking in
Nepal due to the availability of hotel accommodation in
the Everest Region, Langtang area and the entire
Annapurna area. It is felt convenient because in these
areas, you can travel with minimum equipments and rely
on 'tea-houses' for food and accommodation. However,
carrying your own sleeping bags and toilet papers in all
circumstances is always a good idea and advisable to
avoid smelly squat toilets (if any), and no shower
facilities.
All these are readily available in Kathmandu or Pokhara
at reasonable prices. As your own little contribution to
prevent rapid environmental degradation of Nepal you are
advised to choose teahouses for lodging as they use
kerosene oil rather than smoking fire-wood for cooking
etc.
Camping Trekking (Fully Organized Treks): Camping
treks can be very entertaining among a group of friends.
You have to carry only a small backpack (camera, water
bottle and a jacket) and the rest of your weighty
baggage is carried by a trained porter while the Sherpas
set up camps, cook your food and serve meals.
We arrange all necessary equipment such as camping
gears, cooking gears, guides, porters, kitchen staff and
food. Special hygienic care in cooking preparation is
given to hygienic aspects in food and serving.
However, as an individual trekker in some cases you may
land up with a seemingly incompatible group or a person,
which later proves more convenient to make some nice
new friends in these arranged treks. |
