Trip Overview

Helambu region is located close of Kathmandu valley. This unspoiled cultural hub center is very rich and famous for its cultural, religion & traditional values, natural beauty and for biodiversity as well.

Helambu Trekking is a 9 days short trek with the perfect combination of nature, culture and diverse ethnicity. This trail route simultaneously offers you the magnificent views of mountains, sunrise, diverse flora and fauna, spiritualism and many more. Almost all area of the trail route is inhabited by Sherpa people with the minor combination of Nepali and Tibetan origin too.

The trek starts from Sundarijal (1,460m) (one of the best known hiking site and entrance of Shivapuri National Park), goes towards main focus Helambu region and ends by Malemchi Puul Bazaar. This easy and short Nepal trekking can be the perfect package for those who want to do great experience and celebration of their short holiday.

Day 01: Kathmandu arrival (1,300m), transfer to hotel, welcome dinner
When you complete the air journey for visit to Nepal, you will be land in Tribhuvan International Airport located at Kathmandu, Nepal. Once you complete your all custom formalities our airport representative will meet you at arrival gate as s/he will be already there with the sign board of Trekking Mart. Our mutual journey starts here. Then you will be transfer to the chosen hotel and the remaining day time goes free as per you. At the evening you will be provided welcome dinner of authentic Nepali cuisine along with fantastic cultural dance presentation. Meal inlcuded: Dinner.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing & trek preparation
In the morning breakfast is followed by the sightseeing of several secret sites of Kathmandu. You will be guided by a professional city guide. The sightseeing covers some fantastic historical world heritage sites as Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath & Kathmandu Durbar Square which distinctly clarify the religious and cultural diversity and integrity of the country. In the day time we will give you the detail briefing about the trek and ahead free to do trek preparation. Meal inlcuded: Breakfast.

Day 03: Drive to Sundarijal & trek to Chisapani (2,300m): 1 hr drive, 4 hrs trek
This day leads you the majestic lands of beyond your access before. The amazing journey of superb landmass starts by drive and the running wheels stop by Sundarijal (1,350m)-the beginning point of trekking. The trek ascends through the "Shivapuri National Park" along the way of dense forest and purest water resource. The continuous efforts direct us to the Tamang people’s settlement: Mulkharka where we will have our lunch. Then we continue along the way of Rhododendron, oaks & Pine forest till to the Chisapani and here we stop today. Meal inlcuded: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 04: Trek from Chisapani to Kutumsang (2,446m): 7 hrs treks
Early in the morning we will enjoy the passionate view of sunrise which will pull you really close to the horizon. After the breakfast, we trek forward towards the Kutumsang. The day offers magnificent view of Langtang range and Ganesh Himal. We descend by crossing more dense forests, grasslands and the fields. Further little bit downhill and uphill leads us to Kutumsang by crossing Pathi Bhanjyang and Gul Bhanjyang. Overnight stay at Kutumsang. Meal inlcuded:Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 05: Trek from Kutumsang to Thadepati (3,650m): 6 hrs treks
After breakfast, we start trek by uphill on the steep trail. The whole path is no populated and covered by fir and rhododendron trees. The continue uphill brings us top to the Yurin Danda. This place let us to elongate our eyes up to the sky touching mountains. The same amazing fun mixes with somehow up & down trail bring us to the Thadepati for overnight stay. Meal inlcuded: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 06: Trek to Tarkeghyang (2,560m): 6 hrs trek
Today up to the Melamchi Khola we descend down and as soon as we cross the river it takes up trail. On the way we meet a Sherpa village. The peoples of the village follow Buddhism- the monastery built in the site distinctly denotes the fact. The most of the inhabitants of the area are of Helmu caste so the area called Helambu. We reach to Tarkeghyang to stop the journey today.

Day 07: Trek to Sermathang (2,610m): 3/4 hrs trek
From Tarkeghyang, we head towards Sermathang (2,610m) to celebrate the day by one more way. The trail gifts us the sweet welcoming sounds of streams, waterfalls and forests. The day enforce us to enjoy more with Sherpa villages: Parachin and Gangyul located in between a wide valley. The Sermathang is another huge human settlement there. The entire area is Buddhist dominated consisting lots of Buddhist shrines. Meal inlcuded:Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Day 08: Trek to Malemchi Puul Bazaar & Drive to Kathmandu: 3/4 hrs trek, 2 hr drive
After the breakfast we make a short trek of 3/4 hrs down to the Malemchi Puul Bazaar. This multiethnic habitat is our trek ending point. From there we drive back to Kathmandu by our private cab. Upon our arrival in Kathmandu we can enjoy the remaining time as your interest. Meal inlcuded:Breakfast.

Day 09: Departure Transfer
At about 3 hours prior to your flight time, we transfer you to the airport to fly your onward destination. Trekking Mart family wishes your best time ahead. Meal: Breakfast.
