Day 10: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Today's goal is the principal community of this region: Namche Bazaar. Today's trek follows along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing it several times over numerous suspension bridges. Today we enter Sagarmatha National Park and then up to a steep ascent to where we will see Mt. Everest above the Lhotse-Nupte ridge. After about 5 – 6 hours of trekking, we finally arrive at the main trading center of the region: Namche Bazaar. Meals: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.

Day 11: Namche Bazaar (Day Rest)
This is a day to acclimatize to the higher elevation of 3,440m. Health officials advise the best way to acclimatize is to remain active. There will be a short day trek to Thame (3,493m) or Khunde (3,840m), or simply to relax and explore the community of Namche Bazaar. This is a great day to learn more about the Sherpa culture as well as visiting the local museums. Nearby there is also the highest Buddhist monastery in the world, which houses a scalp of a yeti. We will again spend the night in Namche Bazaar. Meals: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.

Day 12: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m)
Today is back to the trek to Base Camp. Along the way, you will enjoy fantastic views of the peaks of Everest (8,.848m), Nuptse (7,861m), Lhotse (8,516m), Ama Dablam (6,812m) as well as Thamserku (6,618m). The trail today is more gradual with opportunities to observe the wildlife of the forests of the high Himalayas. The last part of the trail does get steep for a short distance until we reach Tengboche. This village offers close-up views of a number of mountains, plus the largest Buddhist monastery in the Khumba region. Today's trek is 5 – 6 hours. Meals: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.

Day 13: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360m)
The monastery at Tengboche is most impressive as the morning sunrise reflects off the mountains and illuminates this ancient edifice. Today's journey goes for the upper trail which offers the best photographic views of the monastery. The trail will pass chhortens and Mani walls as it passes through small villages. After lunch, the trail is moderate as it enters the Imja Valley. We descend down to the Lobouche River and then finally climb a steep trail to Dingboche. Trekking time is 5 – 6 hours. Meals: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.

Day 14: Trek from Dingboche to Duglha (4,600m)
The day begins with a climb through the Khumba Khola Valley which features some astonishing views of the mountains. At Dusa, the valley begins to narrow and past Phulung Karpo, the camp site of the first successful climb of Mt. Everest (8,848m). The trail skirts Mt. Pumori (7,138) and passes Chola Lake. The trek ends 3 -4 hours later at Duglha so we can further acclimatize. Meals: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.

Day 15: Trek from Duglha to Lobuche (4,940m)
Today's trek takes us across the Khumbu Glacier as we see several magnificent mountain peaks: Khumbutse (6,665m), Lingtren (6,749m), Pumori and Mahalangur Himal. We are near Mt. Everest, but it is now hidden from view by these other mountains. Today's trek is 2 – 4 hours, intentionally kept short because of the higher elevation as we reach the village of Lobuche. Meals: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.

Day 16: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170m) - EBC (5,364m)
Mt. Everest finally comes back in view today as you will see the north ridge while continuing the trek over the Khumbu Glacier and later the Changri Glacier where the latter offers a 360° view of the Himalayas. The trail continues to Everest Base Camp (5,364m). There is no place to stay at Everest Base Camp, so we return to Gorak Shep. Trekking time is 7 – 8 hours. Meals: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.

Day 17: Trek from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m) - Pheriche (4,280m)
Today we achieve our destination. We begin early for an inspiring view of sunrise over Mt. Everest (8,848m) as the morning rays hit the snowcapped peak. Mornings are cold (-10° to -14° C) with even colder winds. However, the view more than compensates for any discomfort from the cold winds off the snowcapped peaks. We will return to Gorak Shep for breakfast, and then begin our return trip. The trek down to Pheriche is a gradual descend where we spend the night. Trekking time is 7 – 8 hours. Meals: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.

Day 18: Trek from Pheriche to Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
The return trip is faster as we don't have to stop and acclimatize. There will still be opportunities to get some additional views of Mt. Everest as we continue to descend to Namche Bazaar where we can get a hot shower and relax in the comforts of this major commercial center. Trekking time is 6 – 8 hours. Meals: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.

Day 19: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m)
The trail downhill is steeper today as we descend to the city of Lukla This is our last day of trekking before we board the plane tomorrow for Kathmandu. Meals: Breakfast, lunch & Dinner.

Day 20: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
We fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla. It's only a 40 minute flight back to the capital city where we can relax, do some shopping, or some last minute sightseeing. The evening hosts a celebration dinner as you toast the success of the journey. Meal: Breakfast.

Day 21: Departure transfer to your onward destination
At about 3 hours prior to your flight time, we transfer you to the airport to fly your onward destination. Trekking Mart family wishes your best time ahead. Meal: Breakfast.
