Where do we meet after arriving at the Kathmandu airport?
All Trekking Mart customers are met just outside the arrival lounge of the airport by one of our representatives displaying a Trekking Mart board.
How can we carry our luggage to the car?
Can meet our representative only outside the arrival lounge, you have to carry your luggage in the (trolleys provided in the baggage claim area), through the customs area up to the car park on your own and hand over your luggage, which our representative will load into your transfer vehicle.
What is the best time for trekking in Nepal?
Since Nepal is located at sub-tropical climatic zone, we have got four different seasons here: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Among them, spring and autumn are the best time for trekking and expedition in Nepal. In spring from end of February to mid-April and in autumn from late September to early December is the favorable time in terms of climate, view, vegetation and resources.
What kind of hotels do you offer in Kathmandu?
We have built a solid relationship with our hotel partners and can offer comfortable to luxury and of course heritage boutique hotels.
What types of vehicles are used for transfers?
We use both a/c and non a/c comfortable cars, mini vans/jeep and bus.
As per the itinerary domestic airfare is included, however clients should pay for above 15kg weight of your baggage. It costs US$ 01 per kg.
Whom should we contact during our stay?
One of our tour representatives to look after you, during your stay in Nepal and will keep you up to date with relevant information.
The current for Nepal is 220V/50 cycles and is available in Kathmandu and other major touristic centers of Outside kathmandu. Sockets have either three round pairs or two thick round pains. If you are traveling with electrical appliances, an international converter kit and a set of adapter plugs is recommended.

Can you tell about your guides?
Our guides are well trained and experienced to lead Trekking & Peak climbing expeditions. They are native to Nepal, have first hand experience of the Himalayas and have grown up in these areas. Our guides are accredited by The Trekking Association of Nepal (TAAN) have first aid training, including medical evacuation procedures.
What is Teahouse Trekking?
“Teahouse” (local hotels and guest house) in the trekking regions where food and accommodation is provided in the local villages. Our guide arranges your accommodation and food along the trails and we always try to provide the best possible rooms available. The food on offer in the Teahouses consists of typical Nepali dishes, potato, rice and noodle dishes, as well as soup and seasonal vegetables. Cereals, bread and egg are available for breakfast. There are also snacks can be purchased, such as biscuits, chocolate and soft drinks and in some areas you will find fresh fruit in season. Teahouse treks are the most popular mode of trekking in Nepal as hotel accommodation available in the Everest Region, Langtang area, Manaslu circuit, Upper Mustang, Around Kathmandu and the entire Annapurna area. In these regions, you can travel with minimum equipment and rely on 'teahouses' for food and accommodation.
Can we camp during our Trek?
Camping, whilst trekking can bring you closer to nature and the great outdoors. You carry only a small backpack (camera, water bottle and a jacket), the rest of your supplies and equipment is carried by your porters. The Sherpas set up camps, cook your food and serve meals. We arrange all necessary equipment such as tents, cooking equipment, guide, porters, kitchen staff and food.
Can I drink the water?
Do not drink tap water or stream water. All lodge/hotel water has been boiled and filtered and is safe. Local mineral water is also provided and is perfectly safe to drink.
What do I need to pack for the trek?
Walking boots, T-shirts or short sleeved shirts, shorts made from cotton, long sleeved shirts for evenings, I long pair of trousers, sweater, a wind-breaker, warm sleeping wear for Dec/Jan/Feb; thick walking socks, personal toiletries including a small face towel, sun cream, sunglasses camera, sun hat, cotton scarves, bag which the porters carry. What happens in the event of an emergency?
On the trek, a helicopter will be summoned which will reach you as soon as possible. You will then be flown with your guide to Kathmandu where you will be met by our office staff and taken to an internationally recognised Hospital. If necessary, an onward International air ambulance will be arranged. Anywhere else on the trip, you will be taken by road to Kathmandu where the same process will be followed. Ensure that your insurance policy covers you for such unlikely events.
